Job Profile
Backend & Integration Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, secure APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and webhooks) for internal and external system integrations. Build and support integration flows, mediation logic, and connectors, primarily on WSO2 Integrator, API Manager, and IAM. Develop backend services and microservices using Java, Python, and/or JavaScript with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, FastAPI, or Node.js/Express.
Frontend & Developer Experience: Customize and extend developer portals and client-facing UIs, primarily using ReactJS, in response to client branding and workflow requirements. Build responsive, accessible front-end components that consume backend APIs cleanly and securely.
Delivery, Quality & Documentation: Support versioning, monitoring, logging, and lifecycle management of APIs. Maintain and update technical documentation, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and integration runbooks. Participate in code reviews, automated and manual testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Work Experience
1 – 2 years of hands-on experience in API development, system integration, or full-stack engineering.
Qualification
Backend Proficiency: Strong proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js, and working familiarity with the others. Practical experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Django, FastAPI, or Express.
API & Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, JSON, and XML formats. Understanding of API security fundamentals—OAuth2, JWT, and related authentication/authorization patterns.
Frontend & Database Skills: Working knowledge of ReactJS (or a comparable modern frontend framework). Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MsSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Tools & DevOps: Experience with API documentation/testing tools (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI). Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines. Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding.
Preferred Assets: Experience with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), or exposure to other integration/API management platforms (Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong).
